Stress Management Tests For Women

Stress is a physical and emotional reaction when you are facing varying circumstances. Your body begins to respond in a variety of ways which include rapid breathing, increased heart rate and energy bursts. Tests are available for men and women to study their stress risks and how they handle them.

Reacting to Stress

Even though men and women may face the same types of stress on a daily basis, the reaction is different among the two sexes. When you encounter stress your body undergoes a chain reaction that includes the release of certain hormones. Men and women experience different amounts of the hormone oxytocin, which promotes a balance and more relaxing emotions. Women release higher levels of oxytocin which helps them in their reaction to stress.

Stress Management Tests

Stress management tests are available to measure how you have dealt with recent stressors in your life. Tools are available that ask a variety of questions about things going on in your life. Your answers create a range of scores, which are then used to measure your total stress levels. Some available tests will also give you input on future health risks you may face.

Health Risks of Stress

Problems dealing with stress can lead to a variety of health issues in women. Short-term and long-term situations will affect your body emotionally and physically. Short-term health problems can include trouble sleeping, nausea, lack of eating or sadness. If you are not able to deal with your stress, long-term problems can develop such as depression, anxiety, weight gain, and high blood pressure.

Ways to Avoid Stress

Everyone responds to stress in different ways and must take steps to avoid it altogether. Some individuals look to exercise or better diets to keep their bodies active throughout the stressful situations. Others use proper planning to do their best to avoid the problem completely. In order to properly deal with stress you must find the ways in which you get the best response.
