Homemade Pestiside For Tomato & Pepper Plants

Use homemade pesticides for tomato and pepper plants to keep them healthy.

Insects tend to enjoy the leaves and foliage of pepper and tomato plants in home gardens. Instead of using commercial pesticides that may contain harmful ingredients, you may make your own pesticides to remove certain types of insects. If you do not treat the pest problem, they can ruin your plants. Keep your plants healthy so that they produce fresh crops by spraying them with homemade pesticides. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Combine 2 tbsp. of hydrogen peroxide with 1 gallon of water. Pour the solution into a spray bottle, and spray your tomato and pepper plants to remove aphids.

2. Fill small shallow bowls with beer. Place them on the ground to attract slugs. You may kill slugs also by crushing eggshells and sprinkling them over your garden to puncture the slugs so that they will dehydrate.

3. Add 1 tbsp. of ground garlic cloves to one part liquid dish-washing soap with 100 parts of water to keep large pest infestations away. Allow the garlic cloves to sit in the water until the water absorbs the odor, and then strain it through the cheesecloth before spraying it on your plants.

4. Combine two tbsp. of salt with 1/2 gallon of water. Stir to dissolve the salt. Spray the plants to reduce insects that chew on the leaves.

5. Combine one part liquid dish-washing soap with 100 parts of water. Spray this on your plants once a week to keep other pests away.
