Change A Window Mosquito Net

Mosquitos are known carriers of diseases such as malaria and dengue fever.

Mosquito nets are an effective form of protection in highly mosquito-infested areas where the spread of disease is evident. The nets, whether over windows, doors or one's bed can prevent the entrance of mosquitoes, flies and other insects, and thus prevent the carrier's diseases such as malaria, dengue fever and yellow fever. However if the net develops holes over time, it is necessary to change out the net so the maximum form of protection is offered. The following steps provide a guideline for replacing a window mosquito net.

Instructions

1. If the mosquito net is not the proper size, it will be ineffective.

Trim the net to fit to the window frame.

2. Remove the old mosquito net from the window and dispose of it.

3. Velcro is an easily accessible form of adhesive for a mosquito net.

Attach the adhesive Velcro strip around the perimeter of the window frame. Then, attach the other side of the Velcro strip to the outside edges of the replacement mosquito net.

4. Place the mosquito net on the window frame by aligning the Velcro strips and pressing together for a lasting hold.
