Troubleshoot A Ground Fogger

A ground fogger can be used to create an unsettling atmosphere.

Ground foggers are used to produce a low-level fog for dramatic effect. Such creeping fog effects can be found at Halloween parties and in scary movie scenes. Most ground foggers use a liquid nitrogen system to provide ambient, fog-like gas, without leaving a residual layer of chemicals or moisture behind. Incorporating special lighting techniques can add to the desired atmosphere of any project. Regular inspection and care can optimize the durability and efficiency of a ground fogger. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Verify the correct fogger liquid is being used. Not all fogging machines use the same liquid. Using liquids other than those specified may result in blockage, leakage or other damage.

2. Inspect the fogger for any damage. Check the unit enclosure, remote control, cords and plugs for any cracks or exposed wires. Do not use the fogger if any of these conditions are found. Replace the necessary parts, or replace the fogger completely.

3. Replace the fuses if the fogger is inoperable. A bad fuse can prevent the machine from functioning. Unplug the machine. Do not use a fuse other than the specified size or type. Each model will have different instructions for locating and replacing the fuse, but typically it is located behind a service panel. Remove the service panel with a screw driver for access to the fuse.
