Get Rid Of Mosquito Scars

Use Vitamin E oil to fade scars left by mosquito bites.

A warm summer walk isn't complete without a few mosquito bites. You may not even notice the tiny insect drawing blood but moments later, your skin will swell and begin to itch. The itching sensation can be extreme and the urge to scratch difficult to resist. Too much scratching can break open the bump and might cause scabs and even scars. To avoid scarring, be diligent about caring for your bites and apply the following topical treatment.

Instructions

1. Soak a cotton ball with Helichrysum oil and dab the cotton ball onto your scar, holding in place for five minutes. Repeat three times daily until the scar fades.

2. Apply Vitamin E oil to the scar and massage into the scar tissue. Vitamin E is a powerful antioxidant and skin conditioner.

3. Apply Vitamin E oil generously every morning and night until the appearance of the scar improves. Massaging the area will help to break up the scar tissue, nourish the skin and, ultimately, fade the scar.

4. Rub cocoa butter into the scar daily. Cocoa butter moisturizes the skin and helps to even skin tone while emollients help to break down scar tissue and smooth out the skin's surface. Repeat three times daily.

5. Avoid future scars by applying a cotton ball soaked in tea tree oil to fresh bites. Tea tree oil has powerful antiseptic, anti-inflammatory and antiviral properties that help to treat the bite, lessen the itch, and reduce swelling.
