Movie Theaters In West Tennessee

Many people enjoy the shared experience of seeing a movie in the theater.


Besides the ones in the city of Memphis, western Tennessee has only a few movie theaters at the disposal of its residents and visitors. Because of this, it is often hard for film lovers in western Tennessee to locate a theater that is playing a movie they want to see. Fortunately, they will find a few theaters in western Tennessee.


Malco Towne Cinema


Malco Towne Cinema is located in Collierville, Tennessee. The cinema features 16 screens, stadium seating, cup holders, an arcade, and three concession stands. and the theatre specializes in mainstream releases ranging from drama to science fiction. As of January 2011, matinee prices are $6.50 for children, $7.50 for adults and $6.50 for seniors. For evening shows tickets are $6.50 for children, $9.50 for adults and $6.50 for seniors. Advance ticketing is available. For 3D movies, there is a $3 surcharge for adults and a $2 surcharge for children and seniors.


Mi-De-Ga Theatre


Mi-De-Ga Theatre is located in Waverly, Tennessee. The theater houses a concession stand that sells soda, popcorn and candy. Mi-De-Ga has only one screen and has only a few viewing times every week. The theater specializes in showing current movies of all genres. Advance tickets are available online, and prices are $7 for adults, $5 for children 12 and under, and $5 for everyone during the Saturday and Sunday matinee hours.


Cineplant 16


Cineplant 16 is a movie theater in Atoka, Tennessee. The theater has 16 screens, a concession stand that sells popcorn, soda and candy. Current releases from adventure features to comedy are the included in the theater's viewing lineup. For matinee shows all seats are $7, and for evening shows adult seats are $9.50 and children and senior seats are $7. There is also a $3 surcharge added for movies shown in 3D.


Plaza 3


The Plaza 3 movie theater is located in Humboldt, Tennessee. The theater's concession stand has popcorn, drinks, candy, pretzels, hot dogs, hamburgers, and nachos and cheese on sale. Tickets are $3 for matinees and $5 for evening shows as of January 2011. Also, on Tuesdays, all shows are $3 all day long. The theater has been in existence since 1943 and has three screens that feature current, mainstream movies from thrillers to drama and everything in between.
