Customize Xbox Bios

Microsoft has come up with many features for its XBox 360 since its debut in late 2004. The system has evolved in so many ways that evolves without much more than some updates of key features such as BIOS or Gamertags---both of which are a must for on and off line gaming, downloading content and even accessing settings. Other consoles have not had features like this in the past, so customizing XBox BIOS may take some time for new players to get used to.

Instructions

1. Start your new XBox 360 to answer general questions about your settings and add your profile to the system. Creating a Gamertag is an important step if you're going to play online. Choosing a Gamertag is mainly important due to the fact that it costs 800 Microsoft points or $10 to change it later on. Also, making a new profile won't carry over your Gamerscore or the XBox 360 Gold membership that needs to be purchased each year for a fee of around $50 for each profile.

2. Access your Gamertag by tapping the center X button on the controller. Then, press the left control stick to reach the Settings page and press the A button on Profile. Scroll down to edit profile.

3. Complete each of the nine options on the page: Gamertag, Gamerpic, Gamer Zone, Motto, Avatar, Name, Bio, Location, and Privacy Settings. For your Gamerpic, there are starters on the console, you can download them off the Game Market Place, or you can take a picture with your XBox camera. Many downloads are available for customizing your avatar in the market area such as outfits, props, and pets. Some games also give items when you unlock achievements. When customizing the rest of your XBox BIO, you will want to keep in mind that Microsoft has no tolerance for vulgarity and does not allow it for the Motto, Gamertag or Bio sections.
