Salt Lake City is Rush Valley's closest big-city neighbor.
Rush Valley is a tiny town in Utah's Tooele County. It has a population of around 600 people. It is located in the central-northern portion of the state, about 50 miles southwest of Salt Lake City. The area is filled with mountains, canyons and historical landmarks to explore. While Rush Valley is small, and is not home to any hotels, several are found in nearby towns throughout Tooele County.
Hampton Inn
The Hampton Inn hotel is located in Tooele, 16 miles north of Rush Valley. The 51-room hotel is situated just off of the I-80 freeway and features an indoor pool and a fitness center. Guests are provided a daily complimentary hot breakfast and a beverage area that serves coffee, tea and juice. While there is no in-house restaurant at this hotel, nearby dining options include La Frontera and Denny's. While in Tooele, guests may wish to visit Great Salt Lake, just 12 miles away, or the Bingham Copper Mine, only eight miles from the hotel.
Best Western Inn
The Best Western Inn is also located in Tooele and is just a 20-minute drive from Rush Valley. The hotel features 32 guest rooms, all of which are nonsmoking. The hotel houses an indoor pool, a hot tub and an exercise room. A complimentary hot breakfast is served for guests each morning. With no restaurant serving lunch or dinner on-site, guests may wish to visit nearby spots such as Jim's Family Restaurant or Applebee's. The hotel is close to the Tooele Army Depot, convenient for visitors. Guests may wish to spend the day skiing or hiking West Mountain, or visiting nearby Miller Motorsports Park, both less than 10 miles from the hotel.
Holiday Inn Express
The Holiday Inn Express hotel is in Tooele, just 15 miles north of Rush Valley. The hotel offers basic amenities and features, such as free wireless Internet, a fitness center, an indoor pool and a hot tub. The hotel will also provide guests will free passes to work out at nearby Gold's Gym. A complimentary hot breakfast is served each morning, and pets are allowed at the hotel for a fee of $25 per night, as of January, 2011. Restaurants close to the hotel include Tracks Brewing Company and Papa Murphy's Pizza. Guests of the hotel may want to check out Tooele's Ritz Theater or the Oquirrh Hills Golf Course.
Kirk Hotel
The Kirk Hotel is in Tooele, about 16 miles north of Rush Valley. The hotel has been in operation since 1928. The historic building is filled with antiques and western-themed personal touches, from the lobby to the rooms. The hotel offers weekly rates, if needed, and offers rooms with kitchens, pillow-top mattresses and free wireless Internet. The hotel is pet-friendly, at no extra charge, and is next to Tooele Veteran's Memorial Park, where pets can be walked. A complimentary breakfast buffet is served each morning, and nearby restaurants for other meals include Cafe Dimitris or Hunan Village. During their stay, guests should visit Tooele's Deseret Peak Complex, which features mini-golf, the Mountain Mining Museum and an aquatic center.
