Format Ringtones For A Samsung Alias

Format Ringtones for a Samsung Alias

The Samsung Alias is a cell phone manufactured by Samsung for the Verizon network, and it offers consumers a variety of features, including the ability to add your own ringtones to the cell phone. In order to add your own ringtones to the Samsung Alias, though, you first must ensure that your ringtones are in a format that the cell phone accepts. The Samsung Alias is compatible with MP3 and WMA ringtone formats. If your ringtone isn't in that format, you can easily format them for the Samsung Alias with a free audio file converter.

Instructions

1. Navigate to a website that offers a free, online audio file converter, such as Media Convert or Zamzar.

2. Click "Browse" and upload the ringtone that you would like to format for your Samsung Alias.

3. Select the "Input" format if the website does not automatically detect the type of audio file your ringtone is. For instance, if your ringtone is a WAV file, but the website does not detect that it is, select WAV from the drop-down menu located beside input.

4. Select the "Output" format, which is the format to which your ringtone file will be converted. You want to select either "MP3" or "WMA" because those are the two ringtone file formats that are compatible with the Samsung Alias.

5. Click "OK" to begin the conversion process. The website will begin converting your ringtone to the requested format, and your web browser will begin automatically downloading it when the conversion process is done. Simply follow the prompts to complete the download of your newly formatted ringtone, which you can now put on your Samsung Alias via whatever method you choose.
