The Mosquito is a semi-automatic pistol chambered for .22 long rifle ammunition. Manufactured at the American facilities of German firearms maker Sig Sauer, the blowback-operated Mosquito is constructed on a polymer frame and has a stainless steel slide and a 10-round magazine capacity. The barrel measures 3.9 inches and the overall weight of the pistol is 24.6 ounces. The Mosquito duplicates the feel of mid-size, double action/single action target shooting and plinking, but with inexpensive .22 ammunition.
Instructions
1. Inspect the pistol components and make sure they are clear of cleaning patches or any other foreign material before reassembling.
2. Slip the recoil spring over the recoil spring guide. Install the recoil spring and spring guide into the frame so the flat portion of the recoil spring guide faces toward the rear.
3. Place the slide on top of the recoil spring and spring guide. Pull the slide all the way to the rear while pushing down on it until the slide engages with the frame guides.
4. Move the slide slowly forward until it is closed.
5. Rotate the takedown lever on the left side of the pistol counter-clockwise so it points toward the rear of the pistol.
