Kill Indoor Mosquitoes

Mosquitoes are attracted to warm, moist environments such as those found near plants.

Mosquitoes have the potential to transmit deadly infectious diseases to humans. Although places with warmer climates, such as Africa, are at a higher risk for mosquito-transmitted infections, the potential for such problems exist in America as well. Southern states in America are at a higher risk than other areas within the country. You may eliminate mosquitoes from their home by killing them with insecticides and taking extra precaution to block entrances in which mosquitoes can enter the house. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Choose an insecticide that will kill the mosquitoes in your home. Look for insecticides that contain malathion or permethrin; two of the most popular and proven ingredients that kill mosquitoes. Both of these ingredients invade and damage the central nervous systems of mosquitoes and will kill them within hours.

2. Apply the insecticide on areas where mosquitoes are seen most often. Because these insecticides are in a spray bottle, you may also spray the mixture directly on the mosquitoes. Treat areas that mosquitoes seem to linger around or come into the house the most often.

3. Prevent new mosquitoes from coming into your house by keeping entrances for pests blocked. Close windows that are often kept open and seal cracks in doors that lead to the front and back yard. Mosquitoes lay eggs on still water. Keep mosquitoes from breeding near the house by emptying any still, unused water from items in the yard. Cover swimming pools with tarps.
