Running after flies with a fly swatter is not the most efficient solution.
Most people consider houseflies a nuisance. If you don't want to chase down the pesky critters with a fly swatter or use bug spray, other methods are available. Fly traps catch the flies and kill them without a chase. These methods won't release toxins into the air and they provide an easy method for disposing of the flies' bodies. Does this Spark an idea?
Instructions
1. Hang fly paper in areas the insects frequent, such as near trashcans or windows.
2. Place items that attract flies, like food or soiled diapers, in covered trashcans to discourage the flies from staying in the area.
3. Pour 1 cup of sugar water or 1/4 cup of fruit such as apples or bananas into a jar. Using a nail, hammer four to six holes in the lid. Metal lids work best because plastic can shatter when you hammer it. Screw on the lid. Place the jar near the main area the flies frequent. Empty the jar when it is full of dead flies.
