Install A Bug Zapper

Rid yourself of annoying insects with a bug zapper.

A bug zapper is a device that kills bugs by attracting them to the trap and frying them with two high-voltage wires. The light source in the device attracts the bugs and other insects, and when they get close enough they get zapped. This helps to keep areas outside of your house free from insects, and it is best to hang them in areas that you might be sitting for a while such as on the porch. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Decide on a place to install the bug zapper. A few places that you can consider putting it are in your backyard, on the porch or hung from the roof or from a tree.

2. Hang the bug zapper at the designated site. Use a rope or cable to hang the zapper if necessary. If you are hanging it from someplace low you can also use a shepherd's hook, which you can find at a home improvement store. You can screw this into a wall or a ceiling and hang the bug zapper from there.

3. Plug the bug zapper into a power outlet. If you installed the bug zapper away from your house, you will need an extension wire for the power. Make sure that the device is shielded from the weather, for example underneath an awning or roof.

4. Turn on the bug zapper. Make sure to turn it off when you are not around. This will save on electricity and save preserve the life of the device.
