A micro chopper is a wirelessly controlled helicopter that uses a radio-frequency signal to activate its motor functions. Setting up a micro chopper for use indoors requires an open space without any obstructions that can get in the way of its rotating blade. The micro chopper must also first be charged prior to use. No assembly of either the micro chopper or the remote controller is required.
Instructions
1. Turn the remote controller and the charging base, if one is included, over so that the bottom of each faces you. Remove the screw on the battery compartment of the remote controller and the charging base with the Phillips jeweler's screwdriver. Remove the battery lids. Line up the positive- and negative-labeled ends of fresh batteries with the same labeled text inside of the battery compartments. Insert the batteries into the battery compartments. Replace the battery lids. Screw the screws back in.
2. Remove any tape securing the rotor to the body of the micro chopper. Place the micro chopper on the charging base, if one has been included. Connect one end of the included charging cable into the charging port on the charging base and the other end into the charging jack on the front of the micro chopper; if there is no charging base, connect the charging cable in the same manner as just noted in the charging port on the remote controller instead.
3. Turn the power switch on the charging base to the "On" position; if there is no charging base, turn the power switch on the remote controller to the "On" position.
4. Turn the power switch on the front of the micro chopper to the "Off" position. Remove the charging cable from the micro chopper's charging jack once the red LED on the micro chopper has turned green and then ceased to illuminate. Disconnect the charging cable from the charging base or from the remote controller, if there is no charging base. Turn the power switch on the charging base and/or the remote controller to the "Off" position.
5. Check that the retaining clip attached to the center rotor at the top of the micro chopper is secure. Check that the tail rotor can spin freely by flicking at it with your finger. Turn the micro chopper's power switch to the "On" position. Place the micro chopper in the center of the room with the tail facing you.
6. Extend the remote controller's antenna fully. Turn the power switch on the remote controller to "On."
7. Push the "Throttle"-labeled switch on the remote controller away from you and then back to engage the micro chopper's control mechanisms. Push the "Throttle" away from you to cause the micro chopper to ascend vertically. Move the control stick on the remote controller that is to the right of the "Throttle" left and right to change the direction that the micro chopper is heading.
8. Push the "Throttle" toward you to cause the micro chopper to descend. Release the "Throttle" once the micro chopper has landed. Turn the switches on the remote controller and on the micro chopper to "Off." Collapse the remote controller's antenna.
