Pest Fogger Instructions

Pest foggers, or bug bombs as they are commonly called, are available in a formula that targets only one insect like roaches or fleas or in a broad-spectrum formula that kills many different household pests at once. Foggers release a concentration that seeps into cracks and crevices to provide protection from bugs hiding in the woodwork and trim of your home. All pest foggers work in the same manner, and the same precautions apply to each when it comes to protecting your pets and items in your home. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Open all cabinet drawers, doors, closets and pantry doors in the area you are treating. Close all outside doors and windows. Remove any dishes that are on the countertop or in the sink.

2. Cover all waxed surfaces including furniture and floors with plastic sheeting. Cover all electronics including computers, stereos and televisions with plastic sheeting.

3. Remove pets and birds from the area. Turn off the airflow system and the lights in an aquarium and cover the aquarium with plastic sheeting. Turn off all lights and pilot lights in the area.

4. Turn off all air conditioners and fans.

5. Place a chair or stand in the center of the room and cover it with several layers of newspaper. Press the tab in on the fogger while holding it away from your face at arm's length. Set the fogger on the newspaper and leave the house. Keep the area you are treating closed for at least four hours.

6. Return to the treated area and immediately open all outside windows and doors. Allow the area to air out for 30 minutes before occupying the room.
